Microelectronic Circuit Design (Mcgraw-Hill Series in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Electronics and Vlsi Circuits.)

Microelectronic Circuit Design (Mcgraw-Hill Series in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Electronics and Vlsi Circuits.)Richard Jaeger and Travis Blalock have revised Microelectronic Circuit Design with the goal of producing a technically excellent book that is both student-friendly and practical. The second edition continues its focus on providing a comprehensive understanding of the basic techniques of modern electronic circuit design.

New to this edition is an increased emphasis on practical design principles, real world applications, and problem solving. To this end, a pedagogical framework has been added that includes chapter opening vignettes, chapter objectives, "Electronics in Action" boxes, a problem solving methodology, and "design note" boxes.

The number of examples, including new design examples, has been increased, giving students more opportunity to see problems worked out. Over 500 new problems have been added to the book.

The Jaeger and Blalock text is accompanied by a student Cd containing the student version of PSpice and PSpice files for select circuits in the book. Also, there is a robust On-Line Learning Center, which includes PowerPoints, solutions, and web references among other assets.

Customer Review: Difficult book to understand

It could possibly be my personal intelligence level, but this was a very difficult book for me to understand. It was required for my Electronics I class, so I didn't have much of a choice. Luckily I saved some money on this book by buying it used on here, so that made me feel a bit better about me not understanding the book. Not one I would personally recommend, but if you don't have a choice, go for it.

Customer Review: Microelectronic Circuit Design by Jaeger/Blalock

I'm an EE student who has taken the first course using the Sedra/Smith book but because of a delay in taking the second course, will be using the Jaeger/Blalock text. I'm reviewing the material from the first course as it is laid out in the Jaegaer/Blalock book and find the same material more understandable with more relevant detail.
